The reason your "stereo guy" is telling you that you need a 200 Watt AMP for your rig is because of where he needs to mount the speakers. In order to overpower the engine noise he needs to drown it out over the distance between the speaker and your ears.

Not so with Mommoth, the speakers are mere inches from your ears and just like headphones they dont need big wattage to drive great sound when they are that close to your ears.

The best part is the driver and passenger have thier own volume controlls. Now you can crank it up and never hear your passenger screaming.

Seriously this only took us 20 minutes to install in Project RZR. Now thats simple.

This one is not cheap, but then again its not CHEAP. Speakers and housings are made to take years of use on the trail exposed to the elements.

If your looking for superior audio performance for your UTV (Utility Terrain Vehicle)? Mammoth Sound offers the first iPod or satellite radio-driven system. The system offers superior
audio performance, with the sound just inches behind the rider's head, mounted to the UTV OEM (original equipment manufacturer) roll bar.

With the Mammoth Sound system, a head unit is unnecessary. Any iPod, satellite radio or portable radio can power the system. All that's needed is an eighth-inch headphone jack. The Mammoth Sound System features two volume control knobs, allowing the driver and passenger to individually adjust their volume.

Sand, dirt or mud? Not a problem with the weather-resistant design of the Mammoth Sound System. It's specially designed speaker grills combine unobstructed sound with protection from the elements.

The Mammoth Sound's headrest mounting ensures true audio clarity. The vehicle-specific, compact molded housing unit places the one-inch titanium dome tweeters and four-inch mid-range speakers at the absolute closest proximity to the back of the rider's head. This compact unit features individual built-in 20-watt amplifiers. These amps provide ear-pounding sound without obstructing rear vision or the use of the headrest.

An adjustable elastic cord secures an iPod to the dock, making it compatible with any iPod model.

Two Speaker Pods included.  One for Driver, one for Passenger.  Individual volume controls for each pod.

NOTE: This unit will not fit RZRs equipped with the Polaris Lock-n-ride fullly enclosed cab.

The speakers extend a few inches too far to the rear and hit the plastic on the enclosure.
